IGI Developments and Nahdet Al Mansouria Partner to Advance Youth Sports Development

As part of its corporate social responsibility strategy, IGI Developments, a leading real estate company, has announced a strategic partnership with Nahdet Al Mansouria for Development, a prominent foundation dedicated to community advancement. This collaboration aims to support the foundation’s sports programs, particularly by enhancing the physical development of children and youth in the Mansouria region through structured football training, fostering an integrated and sustainable sports environment.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Khaled Shetta, Chairman of IGI Developments, and Ms. Enas Mahmoud, Chairman of Nahdet Al Mansouria for Development, at IGI Developments’ headquarters. The signing ceremony was attended by key officials from both organizations, the foundation’s football coach, and several young players who will benefit from the initiative.

“This partnership is focused on empowering young athletes at Nahdet Al Mansouria, a respected sports hub known for its credibility and deep-rooted trust within the community,” said Mr. Khaled Shetta, Chairman of IGI Developments. “Investing in youth is crucial for national development, and we are committed to supporting and nurturing their talents as part of our social contribution, which remains a top priority for us.”
Shetta further highlighted the significance of this collaboration: “Based on Nahdet Al Mansouria’s strong reputation and its impact through various social services, this partnership represents a major milestone. We hope it will be the beginning of a long-term cooperation, contributing to Egyptian society and supporting the government’s efforts to promote sports awareness and cultivate a strong generation ready to meet future challenges.”
A key aspect of the partnership is its role in improving the foundation’s sports services, particularly by enabling girls to participate in football training for the first time—a step toward achieving gender equality in sports. Additionally, the initiative includes upgrades to training facilities, such as the installation of solar-powered night lighting, aligning with sustainable development goals and reducing energy consumption.

Eng. Sherif Moustafa, CEO of IGI Developments, expressed his enthusiasm: “We are dedicated to supporting our community and fostering a sporting culture among children and youth. This partnership with Nahdet Al Mansouria reinforces our long-standing commitment to youth and sports development. With over 80 years of history in supporting young people, IGI Developments is proud to continue this legacy by collaborating with Nahdet Al Mansouria. This initiative will provide young athletes, both male and female, with greater opportunities to engage in football, including the increasingly popular women’s game. We view this as the beginning of a long-term effort to nurture young talent and instill values such as teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.”

Currently, Nahdet Al Mansouria’s sports program serves 80 boys up to the age of 16, with plans to introduce 20 girls as an initial step, acknowledging the growing interest in women’s football both globally and in Egypt. The program will also create opportunities for adults to participate in competitive matches.
Ms. Enas Mahmoud, Chairman of Nahdet Al Mansouria for Development, emphasized the impact of this collaboration: “Our organization is committed to nurturing talent and providing high-quality training. Partnering with IGI Developments will significantly enhance our sports programs, enabling young players to receive professional training and access improved facilities. For instance, the new solar-powered lighting will extend training hours and accommodate more participants, fostering a greater love for the game.”

She continued: “Previously, our sports initiatives were self-funded, relying on individual efforts. This partnership provides essential support, allowing us to further empower our players, enhance their skills, and create pathways for professional sports careers through increased competition. Additionally, it enables us to establish a women’s football team—an ambitious endeavor in a community where such opportunities have been limited. Thanks to our strong ties and trust within the region, we are optimistic about successfully integrating female players into the program. We are honored to collaborate with IGI Developments to support youth in the Mansouria region and provide them with opportunities for a better future.”
Nahdet Al Mansouria’s sports initiative has also received a grant of EGP 732,000 from the Global Environment Facility’s Small Grants Programme, with the foundation contributing an additional EGP 300,000 towards the installation and necessary modifications of the lighting system. This partnership marks a significant step in elevating the quality of sports facilities and training programs, ensuring that young athletes in Mansouria have the resources they need to succeed.
